Transitions: Set changes and Sousaphones

After production meeting yesterday, and considering all the musical equipment that needs to come on for my piece, (working title: Musical Chairs) I will be choreographing that set up.  Using dancers to set the stage.  Coordinated stage set up.
Some sort of transitional projections - perhaps the director's notes (or a version there of, via Justin's idea) or ???  Perhaps it is the first stanza of the Roland Kirk poem.

I see 17 dancers each carrying a chair, by lifting it high overhead (like I have done in Snow White), and placing chairs.  The drum set, amps, keyboard are rolled on. The Tuba player, Jamal, will be set in the set up, I think.  Dancers begin on stage around the chairs.  Musicians begin in back of house, except for Jamal.

Hoping we can get a sousaphone for Jamal, so that it is easier.
